Steve has been part of the fly-fishing industry for more than 20 years. He was V.P. of Sales and Marketing at Whiting Farms and has been a product marketing consultant for leading fly rod and fly tying tool manufacturers.

He is a regular contributor to Angling Trade Magazine, Fly Fisherman, Southwest Fly Fishing, Northwest Fly Fishing and Eastern Fly Fishing magazines. He also is contributing author and illustrator for the book “Drag Free Drift – Presentation Techniques for Fly Fishing," authored by Joe Kissane. His fly tying patterns appear in books by Chris Mann, John Shewey, FFF Masters, Rick Takahashi and others.

He served as President of the Lee Wulff chapter of Trout Unlimited and Treasurer of the Illinois Council of TU.

Steve’s newest book is entitled “A Fly Fishing Guide to Rocky Mountain National Park”, and was just released on January 31, 2011.

Steve makes his home in Berthoud, CO with his wife, Kerry, who is the Chief Flight Nurse for North Colorado Med Evac and a contributor to the book as well. By day, Steve works as a consultant in the broadband and digital media industries.
